Tasting Note: From a parcel planted in 1959 entirely in the lower Rugiens-Bas section, currently being considered for Grand Cru status. The nose is very complex with blood orange, turned earth, woodsmoke, cherry, raspberry and spices. The palate is dense and powerfull but also elegant. The tannins are ripe and drive the long finish. Drink 2027-2065. Food Pairing: Grilled entrecote or lamb racks with mushroom sauce would be a perfect match.
