Côte de Nuits-Villages ‘Aux Montagnes’ AOC

Tasting Note: From 50 year old vines located in Comblanchien. The harvest was destemmed with a small percent of whole bunches retained during sorting. Only 20% new oak was used to better preserve the purity of the fruit and not to mask the terroir. In 2018, only four 228L neutral casks and a prototype 336L ‘cigar’ cask were produced. The nose offers raspberry compote, violet and a touch of spice. The mouth is darkly fruited with good volume and fine tannins. Food Pairing: Goes well with a grilled entrecôte or roast game birds.
