The history of Alsace is closely tied to Germany as the region has in fact changed hands with Germany several times. Germanic and Burgundy varieties including Riesling, Pinot Gris & Gewurztraminer are planted on highly diverse soils and produce aromatic, mineral wines that pair wonderfully with a diverse range of foods, especially Asian.
