Tasting Note: Bonnes-Mares chez Bertheau is always the most muscular wine in the cellar, though never lacks the elegance of the house style. Violet, red cherries, even some hints of black fruits waft from the glass together with a stony mineral note and gentle spices. The palate is rich and deep with everything in place for a long evolution in bottle. Don’t touch for at least 5 years, though it’s better to wait 10! Food Pairing: Pair with the best mountain lamb chops grilled over wood coals.
