JANE EYRE
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Jane fell in love with Burgundy wines and decided she wanted to take the plunge and move to Europe to pursue her career making wine. After stints at Cullen (Margaret River) Felton Road (NZ) and Ata Rangi (NZ) she arrived in Burgundy in 2004 where she found work with Dominique Lafon at Domaine des Comtes Lafon. Since then she has built a ‘micro-négociant’ business with parcels of old vines in the Côte d’Or and Beaujolais. In 2020 the prestigious publication ‘La Revue du Vin de France’ names her ‘Négociant of the Year’ making her not only the first Australian to win this honour, but also the first female. Jane’s wines are precise and sumptuous in style with fantastic ageing potential.
