Chassagne-Montrachet

A large appellation between Puligny-Montrachet to the north and Santenay to the south. Much of the flatter land has a considerable amount of clay in the topsoil making it suitable for red wines with fuller body. The whites are similar in aroma to Puligny-Montrachet but with a little more body.
